Ganesha is one of the most worshiped gods in Hinduism. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati, and is the god of wisdom, success, and good luck. Ganesha is called the "Vighneshvara" in Hindu traditions, which in Sanskrit means "lord of obstacles or difficulties." Worshiping Ganesha can help remove all obstacles and difficulties in life.
A variety of Quartz, Rose Quartz exhibits a pink to red hue due to trace amounts of manganese, iron, or titanium in the rock. Star Rose Quartz exhibits a phenomenon called asterism, which is attributed to microscopic rutile needles in the material. Quartz in general is the second most abundant mineral on Earth, and is made up of a continuous framework of silicate (SiO4) tetrahedra.
Obsidian is formed when lava extruded from volcanoes rapidly cools with little to no crystal growth. The high silica content of the lava it forms from gives obsidian its smooth, glassy texture and look. Obsidian is a very hard and brittle stone, and fractures with sharp edges. Obsidian is not a true mineral due to its lack of a crystalline structure, and as such is typically classified as a mineraloid.
Obsidian also appears in a verity called Sheen Obsidian. Gold Sheen Obsidian exhibits a beautiful gold shimmer when viewed from the correct angles. This gold sheen is due to gas bubbles in the lava that cool in successive layers. Rainbow Obsidian is another form of Sheen Obsidian that gets its iridescent sheen from inclusions of magnetite nano-particles.
