Carved into this piece of moose antler is an incredibly detailed mermaid with a lovely aquatic scene at the base. A lot of effort went into carving the very fine details such as the scales on the mermaid's tale, the tentacles of the octopus, the coral formations, and the pair of playful sea turtles. The carving is made from ethically sourced moose antler. Moose shed their antlers every year, and no animal was harmed in the harvesting of this antler. The carving is permanently fixed to the wood base, which is sanded smooth and finished with a matte polyurethane finish.
