This beautiful slab display has been cut from a Polish flint nodule. It has a full polish on the front and has natural edges from the nodule on top and bottom.
Polish Flint is known for its incredibly beautiful banding. It forms in concretions, or large nodules, in Jurassic limestone from about 160 million years ago. During the Neolithic Period, about 5000-3500 years ago, flint was used for the production of axes, arrowheads, knives, and other tools.
