This is a large single crystal formation of black tourmaline (schorl) from the Erongo Mountains of Namibia. It has coatings of hyalite opal that are highly fluorescent, as shown in the last photo.
It comes mounted on a custom hand-milled and labeled acrylic base that securely displays the specimen upright.
