A lovely combination of calcite with pyrrhotite on a bed of tiny quartz points. This specimen is in great condition, and was collected from a unique locality in Kosovo.
Mining at this locality has been documented since the late Middle Ages. It was closed during the Kosovo war from 1998-99, but reopened in 2005 and is still in operation.
